Langtail is a competent, actively maintained platform with one pricing decision that deserves scrutiny. It meters the number of prompts you can have - two on free, twenty on the $99 Pro tier, unlimited only at $499. That is an unusual ceiling for a prompt management tool, because the number of prompts is not a proxy for value received or cost incurred, and it penalises exactly the behaviour the product should encourage. Splitting one overloaded prompt into three focused ones is good practice and here it costs you 15% of your allowance. Most competitors meter requests, logs or seats, all of which at least correlate with usage. Set against that, the product is solid - a no-code interface genuinely aimed at product teams, unlimited logs from Pro upward, and retention scaling to a year on Team. The AI Firewall is an interesting differentiator, though like self-hosting it sits behind Enterprise. At roughly ten times PromptHub's entry price, you are paying for polish and the logging allowance.

Parea AI is a competent, genuinely active platform that we are partly writing up to correct the record. There is persistent unsourced chatter that Parea was acquired, and we could not substantiate it anywhere - the company's own site is live, actively marketed, and publishes a clear three-tier pricing page with no acquisition notice of any kind. Treat the acquisition claim as unverified until someone produces a source. On the product, it covers prompt management, evaluation with custom scorers and regression testing, human review and observability, and the free tier includes all platform features rather than crippling them. The problem is the Team tier's pricing shape. At $150 a month you get three members and 100,000 logs, with additional seats at $50 each - so it meters seats and usage simultaneously. That is the least buyer-friendly structure in this category, and it runs directly against the direction competitors are moving, with Confident AI switching to flat organisation pricing and Arize AX declining to meter seats at all.
